Have you been eagerly waiting to buy new clothes in the sales, looking for bargains and additions to your wardrobe?  Shopping in the sales can help save you money but only if the item of clothing is what you really need.  Remember that at Simply You, I promote cost per wear, so an item of clothing you buy in the sales is only really a bargain if you wear it plenty of times.  The more you wear an item of clothing the lower the cost per wear becomes.

Here are my top tips for shopping in the sales:

  • Identify any gaps in your current wardrobe before going shopping
  • Make a list of any items of clothing you would like to add to your wardrobe to take shopping with you.

Ask yourself:

  • Is it my colour?
  • Does the style suit me and my style personality?
  • Does it fit really well?
  • Can I wear this item of clothing with three other items already in my wardrobe?
  • Will this item of clothing suit my lifestyle?

If no to these questions, consider if you really need it.

If you would like to make sustainable purchases, consider looking online at Vinted and Ebay to see if you can pick up some gems there or visit your local charity shops.

For more advice on shopping for clothes that suit you, your style personality and lifestyle, please get in touch.  I offer colour consultations, style consultations, full image consultations, make-up lessons, wardrobe edits, personal shopping trips and talks and presentations for individuals, groups, organisations and businesses throughout South Wales.

I look forward to hearing from you.
